CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS:
Under the general supervision of the Director of Public Relations, the Care Line Clerk will perform non-technical routine, repetitive working involving the use of limited, basic skills that can be learned on the job. Work is performed in accordance with prescribed and well-established procedures. Performance is closely supervised with detailed instructions given prior to assignment

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Performs simple, routine tasks related to are of assignment
  • Receives calls from Care Line client and documents calls properly
  • Takes appropriate action when calls are not received from Care Line client
  • Process and recruits new Care Line clients

QUALIFICATIONS:
A.   Training and Experience
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid Florida Driver License and can operate a vehicle. 

B.   Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of simple, routine office procedures.
  • Ability to work harmoniously with Care Line clients.
  • Ability to speak and write clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow policies and procedures related to the position.
  • Ability to react quickly and calmly in an emergency.
  • Skill in the use of basic office programs and equipment to include word processer, spreadsheets, databases, computer and copier required to perform assigned tasks of the position.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to communicate orally
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Acceptable eyesight (with or without correction)
  • Acceptable hearing (with or without correction)
  • Ability to carry moderate weight (i.e. boxes, shredded reports, files stacks etc.)
